FAQs

How do I make a booking?

Once you have received a quote from Piano Perfection and confirm that you wish to proceed with booking a pianist, we will issue a contract which conforms to standard industry practice. A deposit of 20% will be required to secure your booking, with the balance being due 21 working days before the event.

How long will the pianist play for?

A standard booking will be 3 x 40 minute sets spread over a 2.5 hour period. This can, of course, be revised to suit your event.

There’s no piano at our venue.  Can you supply a keyboard?

If there is no grand or upright piano at the venue, we will provide a digital stage piano free of charge together with a small powered monitor speaker. This will sound just like a concert grand.

We Want The Look Of A Grand Piano. How Do We Achieve This?

The most cost effective way to get the look of a baby grand piano is to hire our white high-gloss Baby Grand Piano ‘Shell’ which houses an electric keyboard so it looks and sounds just like the real thing. There is an additional charge for this.

What will we need to provide?

Nothing! Piano Perfection will bring all musical equipment with them to your event (if this has been previously agreed). The venue needs to provide access to a 13 amp socket.

Do you have Public Liability Insurance?

Yes we do – up to £5,000,000.

Do you have a PAT test certificate?

All our equipment is PAT tested and we can supply the certificate to your venue.

Can you play outside?

If we are using our own electric keyboard then we would prefer not to play outside as we use high profile equipment which could be easily damaged by rain. However, if adequate cover can be provided this may be possible.

What do you wear?

A cocktail dress or black tie for formal occasions. For events less formal: a smart suit or smart casual at your request. If you have a special theme we will try and colour coordinate with your event.

What refreshments do you require?

Sandwiches and soft drinks are a minimum, with a hot meal necessary for longer journeys and longer duration gigs.

How far do you travel?

We travel worldwide but most of our bookings are within approximately two hours of London. Bookings beyond this area may incur additional travel expenses and/or overnight accommodation.

Do you play requests?

Yes, of course. In the event that we do not know your requested song, and so long as it is a suitable piece to play on the piano, we may be able to purchase the sheet music in order to perform it for you.

Has Piano Perfection ever cancelled a booking?

No, never. We have back-up musicians of the highest calibre in case of holidays/sickness.
