Ceremony Music

There is so much choice when you’re looking for wedding ceremony music ideas but we’re here to help and make suggestions that will work well and be personal to you as a couple. So, let’s get started…

The Wedding Ceremony

You will need to choose three pieces of piano music for your wedding pianist to play at a Civil Ceremony: the entrance of the Bride (Processional), the Signing of the Register and the Bride and Groom’s exit (Recessional). It is probably worth bearing in mind that the Processional and Recessional pieces of music will be very short so you may wish to save your favourite song or songs for the Signing of the Register. Although you are not allowed to choose any religious music there is still a huge choice available to you.

We have listed below some wedding songs which are acceptable to the Registrars for a Civil Ceremony. Of course, you are welcome to choose a song which is not on the list, just let us know and we will advise you whether it will be permissible to the Registrars and whether it will sound good played on the piano.

If you do not wish to choose the wedding piano music yourself, we will be most happy to do it for you.
