Sandra Lambert - Biography
Born into a musical family, Sandra began piano lessons at the age of 6.
She later studied in London
and the United States with a number of leading international musicians.
Sandra has performed and recorded with artists such as Bette Midler, Humphrey Lyttleton, Cilla Black, Paul O'Grady, The London Symphony Orchestra. A sought after accompanist, Sandra was Musical Director to Helen Shapiro throughout the 1990's with whom she toured extensively, appeared on CD's and television and penned the musical arrangements.
Sandra has played at Britain's most prestigious venues including the Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Barbican Centre, Birmingham's Symphony Hall and such top hotels as The Dorchester, The Savoy, Claridges, Grosvenor House & The Waldorf.
Sandra's debut album 'Too Late Now', in collaboration with guitarist Mike Eaves was released in 2002. In 2005 she recorded 'A Portrait of Anthony Newley' with vocalist Garth Bardsley which coincided with Sandra & Garth's touring show 'The Anthony Newley Story'. CDs can be purchased from this site. Sandra continues to work at the highest level in a variety of musical areas which include studio sessions, television, live concerts, shows and solo performances. She also runs the highly acclaimed swing band - Simply Swing - which performs throughout the UK and is extremely in demand.
